The fans were very excited to receive 1,000 Max Stassi bobbleheads(sponsored by Yuba City Scion) that were given away in a short period of time.  Additionally, Scion brought up a bunch of Scion free items such as CD’s, bags, backpacks, lighted necklaces, t-shirts, and hats that were given away too. We parked a Scion XB in center field on the warning track throughout the entire game.  Although a few balls were hit out there, none came in contact with the Scion.

There was a little more than 1700 fans that got to see a very exciting game that ended with a win for the Gold Sox in the bottom of the 9th inning on a Grand Slam  5-2 !!!!

On July 26th we are sponsoring “The Acting Company” charity golf tournament at Peach Tree Golf course.  This event is to help raise money for our local aspiring actors.  Should be a fun event!

Yuba City Scion will be sponsoring a Gold Sox night in Marysville on July 17th. We will be giving 1,000 Max Stassi bobble-heads out to the first 1,000 people that attend,  so mark your calendars!

Tickets to the game will be given out  at our dealership, while supplies last.  So, stop on by to pick up yours (while supplies last)!

The sun is out, the days are longer and when you go in the back yard you can’t help but smell what the neighbors are up to. We wanted to take a moment to give you a few tips for cleaning up the Bar B Que from last years grilling season.

1. Decide, did she see her last season. Was the fun in the sun from last year, her swan song. They don’t last forever.
2. Take out the grill and scrape it. When your done, Scrape it for another 10 minutes. This is an important step. There are a few ways you can go from here to get it clean, but getting the chunks of the beer can chicken off are your first step.
3. Spray it with a hose. Don’t be shy, wet that puppy down. If you have a nozzle handy, do some pressure washing.
4. This is where a lot of people use a cooking spray or one of the grill cleaners. Were not saying no, were just saying that it’s a grill and not a surgery table.
5. Replace it into the bar b que, close the lid and put it on full. This will get rid of anything that might be left on the grill that you don’t need.  This should sit about 15 minutes or so. The idea is to get any ruminants from your neighbors shrimp kabob off your grill.

After that it’s easy. Make your favorite dish, enjoy the summer and remember that grilling is not a license for uncontrolled burning, you still need a permit for that.

If you have not yet seen the Yuba City Acting company, your missing a treat. Put on by some of the most talented individuals in the area it is a share joy to watch. They are a non profit community theater that is put on 100% by volunteers. When time is donated in this way it is because someone has a true passion for what they do, that comes shinning through in the performances that you will get to see. We are happy to have our first blog be on one of our finest automobiles. More than just a super gas saving hybrid, it is a good looking car. Gone forever are the days of box like, under powered hard to fit hybrids, this car looks great and has the power to back it up.  The Prius has become an industry standard for the hybrid. It’s looks, price and great reputation for reliability have out it on the top of many top review list.

The recall was indeed a hard hit to Toyota and the faith that man Americans had put in the company. Toyota is more motivated than ever to build that trust back. After a good long look at itself and what happened it has emerged a better company. We hope that you will stop in and let us know what you think.
